Is it free?

Yes, Tell® is free for every person and every individual healthcare provider.

How to register?

Download the Tell® app on your mobile device. You will only need your mobile phone number to create your personal account. Follow the steps here.

Can I ask my provider to use it?

Yes. You can ask any provider to download Tell™ and send you messages.

Can I contact my provider through the app?

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or 112 immediately. If your provider has enabled responses through the Tell® app you can respond in the Discussions tab. Otherwise, please reach out to your provider using their office contact information.

Can I follow any health expert?

Yes. Tell® is where people engage with top verified health experts who share their knowledge for the benefit of everyone, everywhere.

How to delete my account?

To delete your Tell® app account, follow these steps: Go to Settings, navigate to the Account section, and select "Delete my account." After entering your last name, click the "Delete" button to confirm.

How do I register as a Clinician?

Download the Tell® app on your mobile device. Create a personal account and then set up a Provider Account from your Profile settings. You will need to register with an email address associated with your institution, university, or private practice for verification purposes.

What are public posts?

Clinicians, whose license to practice has been verified, can post to the entire Tell® community including general users, peers, and your patients. Providers can also select to limit their posts to specific audiences.

Can patients contact me through the app?

Patients cannot contact you via the app. However, if you would like to get responses from your own patients you can open a time-limited Discussion with the recipients of any of your private messages.

How do I get a BAA?

Can I use it on my desktop?

Yes, the Tell® app works in your desktop browser. Click here to access it.

Will patients see my mobile number?

No. Patients can only see your name, profession, specialty and photo that you set up in your profile.

Do people need to have the app before I send them a message?

You can send a post to anyone with a phone number. We'll let them know they have a message from you and how to get the app.

Is it secure?

Yes, Tell® is just as secure as your banking app. Check out the Security page for further info.

Is it HIPAA compliant?

Yes, the Tell® platform is fully HIPAA-compliant. The instructions on how to obtain a Tell® BAA are here.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes, the Tell® platform is GDPR-compliant. If you are a European Union resident, you can confirm that your data is being held within the EU in the Privacy & Security section of your Profile settings.

Can I reset my passcode?

If you forget your passcode or your account gets locked due to too many incorrect passcode entries, you can reset your passcode. See the instructions here.

How to sign up?

STEP 1

Enter your mobile phone number

You will then receive a text message with a 6-digit verification code. Enter this code to verify your mobile phone number

Review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

Read and agree to Tell Health's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

STEP 3

Enter your name and Date of Birth

You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Tell Health platform. Add a photo so that your healthcare providers can easily recognise you

STEP 4

Add a primary email

We can use your primary email to make sure it’s really you if you get locked out of your account. After you enter your email address keep an eye for an email from Tell Health with a confirmation link.

STEP 5

Create your 4-digit passcode

This code is used as an extra layer of protection, in case someone has access to your phone. Make sure that the code is not too easy to guess.

Warning: without the correct code and a confirmed primary email your account will become inaccessible
